Karabo Mokoena was found dead and her body burnt after she was reported missing on the 28th April.
Her close friend, Stephanie Long, posted Karabo’s pictures on social media asking for people to help find her friend. A few days later it was reported that her passport, and ID were later found in a dustbin in Sandton.
Now this morning her father, Tshepo Mokoena, has confirmed on Facebook that his daughter had been found dead and her body burnt. According to EWN, the body was found in an open veld in Lindhurst It is believed that a man close to her is behind the cold-blooded murder.
The man allegedly confessed to Karabo’s father that he choked her in an apartment and killed her.
The police are yet to comment, and according to Long, the man who is accused of Karabo’s murder has been arrested and remains in custody.
Condolences have been pouring in since, with the hashtag, #RIPKarabo, trending on social media.
