Uthando neSthembu: Mzansi’s newest ‘It’ family?

Mzansi's newest reality show on the ups and downs of polygamy.

Mzansi Magic’s newest reality show, Uthando neSthembu, follows renowned South African businessman Musa Mseleku and his four wives as they navigate a polygamous relationship, their family dynamic, staying true to tradition in a modern world and the sisterhood of the wives.

Viewers will meet and get to know the four women in a polygamous relationship, Mamkhulu (First Wife), Mayeni (Second Wife), Makhumalo (Third Wife), and Mangwabe (Fourth Wife).

While the wives now maintain a loving and respectful relationship with each other, the journey to peace and harmony was not an easy one of course.

They each share how they felt at first being introduced into a polygamous marriage. They expressed the uncertainty and insecurity that came with the arrangement, the heartbreak and eventual acceptance, contentment and forming an unshakable bond with each other. Something many women would not be able to agree to.

There’s the daily school routine, homework, activities, household chores and parenting duties, not to mention the fights and squabbles between siblings to deal with.

There’s also no such thing as an idle trophy wife in the Mseleku family. There is more than enough to keep all the wives busy.
