Yung Swiss gave connect a young visit.

Steve Dang commonly known as Yung Swiss visited the Connect studios Tuesday and gave us an insight on his life and music.

Yung Swiss had his first breakthrough in 2015 with the single David Genaro, which was a tribute to actor Jamie Bartlett for his role as puppet master and mogul-villain “David Genaro” on Rhythm City. The song aired multiple times during the screening of credits, pre and post of the television drama-series airings. The response was obviously bomb and put him on the map.

Yung Swiss then brought us a catchy chorus on Mayo which was a freestyle on DJ Speedsta’s single. This became his highest charting hit single as it was the most played record on South African radio stations for 12 weeks in a row! it was also #1 on the African Chart on Beat 99 FM Nigeria.

Swiss brought all this Mayo to our studios and spoke to us about his E.P titled Bottom Baby which is based on his personal life and the struggles and challenges he encountered during his rise in the industry. Swiss spoke about his struggles of having to pursue his dream, who he grew up listening to, why he chose the title Bottom Baby for his EP who inspired his sound and his relating his experiences through music to his fans.
