‘Tholukuthi Hey’ concert catapults to NXT LVL

Euphonik in collaboration with Vodacom NXT LVL will be hosting a concert headlining both Killer Kau and Mbali

One moment “Tholukuthi Hey” was just a simple lyric in a short video recorded and shared on Twitter by an unknown Killer Kau. The next moment, it was on the NEXT LEVEL, going viral on social media.

It was Euphonik who spotted the talent in the young student, Killer Kau, and quickly reached out to him, offering to collaborate in making a full-length song to hit the airwaves like never before. In no time another video showing a young school girl, Mbali Sikwane, singing the“Tholukuthi Hey” lyrics started going viral. This made Euphonik’s day a very busy one, as he went around looking for both Killer Kau and Mbali to put them together in the song.

“Firstly, the song is a hit and has become a spring board for young Killer Kau and Mbali. Vodacom NXT LVL is all about providing platforms for exposure for the youth. So, we had to come in and support this initiative. Even better, Euphonik is a mentor in our upcoming ‘The NXT LVL’ television show that will premiere in October. It only made sense that we get involved,” said Veli Mabena, HOD: Brand & Communications, at Vodacom.

Heavyweights like DJ Cleo, DJ Tira, Maphorisa, pH, Capital, Lerato Kganyago, Euphonik and many more will be there. The concert will be streamed LIVE on YouTube from 12am to 1am on Sunday, allowing Vodacom users to use their #MegYourDay data to stream the show for free.
